I really like the layering of these maquettes, it looks very African. The two lengths work well to enhance each piece
I like the gun necklace, its a bold statement but it would need to be longer.
I’m liking the pattern that the guns have created here, very bold, maybe too much being layered with a neck piece as well
Again, I like the pattern this has created, not keen on the idea of it just being acrylic though so could possibly do it in copper with verdigris.
Maquetter for a layered bone ring to have a copper rod with a cobalt blue set in it. I think this could be a great statement ring and chunky enough to go with some of the cast rings I will be doing.
I like the simplicity of this and the idea of putting cowrie shells and guns together, modern and traditional.
I’m liking how the rubber looks here, the powdery inside is very reminiscient of the tribal photo’s from my research
I do like the look of the rubber but I am concerned as to whether I could make it look more polished.
I don’t think these lengths work very well together
Again, the lengths do not work very well together.
I think this needs to be longer in order to be harmonious with the rest of the pieces.
This could be a great show piece as its eye catching and a powerful statement. I need to think about how to make it as if I make it out of metal it will be very time consuming, I might look into acrylic which looks like metal.
I have been working on some maquettes of ideas for the collection. I am really liking some of the shapes that are coming out, I think it looks quite African but also very me which is important. Every idea that I am having looks as if it wil be quite involved and time consuming and so my biggest worry is getting it all done in time.
